Deloraineshiel is a remote shepherd's cottage on a working sheep farm, located in the heart of the Scottish Borders. This is Ettrick Shepherd country, famously portrayed in the works of James Hogg. Quiet, off the road and peaceful.

The cottage has magnificent open views and is close to Hawick, Selkirk, Peebles, Innerleithen, Melrose and Kelso, as well as other Borders towns. Edinburgh is a scenic 1 hour drive away. St. Mary's Loch and the Grey Mare's Tail are also a short drive away. Deloraineshiel is the ideal place to enjoy the beauty and tranquility of the Scottish Borders and is a perfect location to see all that the Borders has to offer.
There are three bedrooms, two with queen size beds and one with 2 single beds.
The living room and the kitchen have back boiler stoves which heat the house and can provide all hot water needs. Should setting the stoves be too much trouble, oil fuel central heating is also available. We also installed solar panels to offset electricity usage and water is also heated using power from these. Doing our bit for the environment!
There is a bathroom upstairs and a toilet with large shower down stairs. The downstairs bathroom benefits from underfloor heating, which is great on a cold day.
