Jennifer and Phil converted these beautiful old barns in 2005 into this lovely B&B, with every bedroom having lovely view over open countryside

Come and stay with us and have a unique experience that is enjoyable, personal and welcoming. You will enjoy wonderful views, a beautiful quiet location, a splendid full English breakfast with our own free range hens eggs and a lovely bedroom that has a large comfy bed with a clean and refreshing en-suite. Each room has a TV, Tea and coffee always available. Breakfast is served in our dining room in the Big Barn

We have 3 en-suite bedrooms in the Little Barn (which can be completely self-contained if visitors want to look after themselves) and 2 further en-suite bedrooms in the Big Barn.

Hilderstone is a peaceful village ideally situated close to many of the north midlands best attractions; the canal town of Stone, the county shire town of Stafford, the 'potteries' - Stoke-on-Trent. We are just 8 miles from the M6 Junction 14 and 25 minutes away from the big theme park Alton Towers. Staffordshire County Showground, Trentham Gardens and the Monkey Forest are all under 20 minutes away.

We have the potteries including Gladstone potteries, Wedgwood, and many of the factory shops all very close by.

The farm itself used to be a dairy farm with about 60 acres not nearly big enough in this day and age. And the barns you will be staying in used to be the milking and housing for the cows.

When we bought the farm in 2000 it had only 10 acres left with the farm and the brick barns were derelict. For a while we used them for stables and storage housing calves and a pig called Suzy.

In June 2005 we began the conversion and by Christmas we moved into the Little Barn. I had promised a friend of mine that I would be ready for guests by May 2006 as she wanted a big family party and a helicopter to land in the fields. I realised by the end of March I was not going to be ready, so I phoned her to tell her, she said “no problem I will try to find accommodation elsewhere”. But guess what? there wasn't any! - she said “you have to be ready”. Actually that was brilliant because it bulleted me into action, I had 6 weeks to finish the Big Barn and move out of the Little Barn and get it ready for visitors. Believe it or not, I did it and in June 2006 we were ready to open!

So here we are today, come and visit us!
