Description

Our aim at the Scarborough Youth Hostel is to provide quality low-cost accommodation for groups, families and individuals who wish to enjoy, explore, or simply unwind on the beautiful North Yorkshire coast.

With two long sandy beaches, miles of rugged coastline, and some of the largest areas of forest and moorland in the UK Scarborough is a perfect base for activity breaks with excellent walking, cycling, mountain biking, surfing and sailing.  There is also plenty for those interested in birds, wildlife, history, geology and the seashore.

Scarborough Youth Hostel, once a 17th century water mill, is set on a quiet riverside, just 1½ miles north of the town centre and only 15 minutes walk from Scalby Mills and the North Bay beach.

Accommodation is available in 9 shared rooms which can sleep up to 48 people or can be booked as family rooms for 4,5 or 6.  We have a well equipped self catering kitchen or guests can enjoy our home cooked breakfasts.  Tea and coffee are free.
