YHA Dalby forest is a refurbished school nestled in the North York Moors National Park. Located in the town of Pickering, there are many things to do and see here. This makes it a great location for those looking for an activity holiday or a relaxing break.

With our secure cycle store this is a great hostel to bring your bikes to. The North York Moors is overrun with cycle routes so you'll always find a new adventure. This is a great area for mountain bikers, whether you're a novice or a hardened expert, there is a trail for you. With over 1400 miles of cycle routes over all there is always a new adventure out there. For those who want to experience a sew view, it is a 20 mile ride out to the coast.

If you prefer to explore by foot then there is a fantastic walk around the picturesque Hole of Horcum. This takes in some of the moors most famous geological features. Maps are provided by the hostel for this.

During your stay, the town of Pickering is well worth a stroll about. It is the destination location for the North York Moors steam railway. If you wish you can travel along here all the way to Whitby, passing through Goathland on the way, the home of Heartbeat. This is a very enjoyable and scenic route.

At the end of the day you can unwind by making full use of the hostel facilities. There is a full equipped self-catering kitchen and dining room for all your needs and a drying room for any wet clothes.
