Description

Welcome to the oldest YHA hostel still in operation - it opened in 1931! YHA Street is ideal for a Somerset activity break, including great routes for cycling and walking holidays. The charming Swiss-style chalet is surrounded by National Trust land overlooking the mystical Glastonbury Tor. Within easy reach of the Mendip Hills, Somerset Levels, Polden Hills and Glastonbury, Street is also home to Clarks shoes – great for bargains in the Clarks Village Retail Outlet. The hostel has many rooms ideal for families and it's easy to understand its continued appeal.

From a day of pure magic at Glastonbury Tor (believed to be home to the King of the Fairies), to a visit to the medieval Bishop's Palace in Wells - YHA Street has plenty to do. Family trips will love the Wookey Hole Caves just 11 miles away, home of the Witch of Wookey Hole – a human-shaped stalagmite that, according to legend, is the form of a witch turned to stone by a monk from Glastonbury!
